Welcome to My Best Antiques!

My Best Antiques is the website of Antique collectors Toni Campbell and Jim Thomas, collectors of Fine Antiques. With Home bases on both sides of the State of Michigan, we buy Antiques weekly from Lake Michigan to Lake Huron. The thrill of the “HUNT” is what keeps us going, and we literally dig, and scavenge our way though old barns, houses, basements, and attics. Many of the treasures that we find have been hidden away for decades, or longer!

We are primarily Collectors of fine Antiques; but we do have two or three Auctions a year. We have a loyal following of fellow Antique lovers who can’t wait for our Auctions. We hope to add you to our list! You may be assured that if we decide to part with an item, it is fresh to the Market.

Our personal Antique collections are MANY, and seem to increase on a monthly basis.  We collect:

Cast iron Banks and Toys, early wooden Duck Decoys (Mason, Dodge, etc), Fish Decoys, Fishing Lures (Heddon, Creek-Chub, Paw-Paw Baits, etc.), Folk Art, Tramp Art, and early decorated stoneware. Other favorites are, Early Advertising items, Tin and Porcelain signs, American Indian Items (Baskets, pottery, Rugs, arrow-heads and more). Out-side horn Phonographs (Edison, Victor, Columbia), hand-made Oriental rugs, and American rugs are always of interest too. We like Oil paintings of listed artists, and early School Girl embroidery & Samplers. We have a huge collection of early Photographs, tintypes, Daguerreotypes, and cased images. Our furniture tastes run from primitive country, to fine Federal and Hepplewhite. Right now, we have a special liking for Arts & Crafts, and Mission furniture (Limbert, Stickley, Roycroft). Of course, we have to have the early lamps and lighting to tie in with the above collections! We also collect American Art Pottery (Weller, Roseville, Rookwood, Grueby, Newcomb), and Fine American & European Art Glass (Tiffany, Steuben, Galle, Loetz).

…Guess you could say that if its old enough, artistic, beautiful, fine, or unusual, we will eventually collect it!
